Minneapolis The 19th Annual All-Canada Show runs Jan. 31-Feb. 3 at the Hyatt Center Exhibition Hall in Minneapolis.

The show features all things Canadian for the outdoors, including lodges, camps and outfitters. There also will be a variety of seminars. Show hours are 5-9 p.m. Thursday, noon to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors

Minneapolis The 30th Annual Boat Show comes to the Minneapolis Convention Center, Jan. 23-27.

The Boat Show is the Midwest’s premier boating and marine products show. Visitors also can see boating’s past as there also will be an antique and classic boats collection at the show. Show hours are Wednesday, 5-10 p.m., Thursday and Friday, noon to 10 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m.

Jan. 18: Deadline to apply for 2002 black bear preference points and kill tags. Applications are $3 and are available at DNR and license outlets. Hunters may also apply on-line at the DNR web site at www.dnr.state.wi.us.

Feb. 9: Lake Winnebago sturgeon spearing season opens. There are several new rules this year, including shortened spearing hours. Check regulations. The season is set to run through Feb. 25, but could close earlier if quotas are reached.
