With deer season over, sportsmen are now shifting their attention to ice fishing. But nothing appears to be on the horizon at this point, not even at traditional early freeze spots like Lake Colby in Saranac Lake.

During this report period, the ocean and Long Island Sound water temperatures dropped from the mid-50s to around 50 degrees, which is still several degrees above normal.
