Michigan cougar sighting: ‘These animals remain rare in the Upper Peninsula’

A cougar is shown on an image from a landowner’s game camera, northwest of Ironwood in Gogebic County.

The image of the cat was caught on a landowner’s trail cam July 7 in daylight hours northwest of Ironwood, in the far western portion of the Upper Peninsula.
