DNR predicts even better deer hunting in 2018

Many different deer species may be infected with EHD, and white-tailed deer are highly susceptible, and experience high rates of mortality.

Biologists are expecting the number of deer taken to increase slightly from last year’s numbers, which were up more than 10 percent from the previous year across the state.
