Ohio Division of Wildlife manager Comer retires after 32 years

Division of Wildlife District 1 Manager Kassie Mitchell (l) presented Gary Comer Jr. with a certificate of service at his retirement party on Oct 31.

West Mansfield, Ohio — On Oct. 31, the banquet room at the West Mansfield Sportsman’s Club filled to capacity as friends and family, work associates, and members of the community he served assembled to congratulate District 1 Wildlife Supervisor Gary Comer Jr. (58) on his retirement after 32 ½ years of state service.
Comer began his state employment with the Ohio State University Extension in Logan County from 1995-2000 on an Indian Lake watershed project before becoming the county extension director from 2000-2005.
