As the old adage goes “you can’t eat antlers.”
With that in mind, the Ohio DNR Division of Wildlife is once again urging bowhunters and deer hunters in general to shoot more antlerless deer this season to help better manage the herd. Bow season opened on Sept. 26, so there’s undoubtedly deer on the ground already. A good option for antlerless deer harvests is to donate them to those who are in need of good protein.
