Wisconsin Wardens at Work: Illegal baiter just can’t help himself

A convicted felon was quick to admit to David Bennett, a Sheboygan County, Wis., game warden, when he was presented with the evidence and facts, that maybe he was illegally shooting deer over bait.

The subject also admitted, in a matter-of-fact way, that he always shoots deer in that manner, over bait and in his backyard. Sheboygan County has a deer-baiting ban in place due to the discovery of chronic wasting disease.
