EHD outbreak killing deer in Wisconsin’s Washington County

An outbreak of epizootic hemorrhagic disease (EHD) has killed more than 100 deer in Wisconsin’s Washington County as of Aug. 19. That number will increase as more reports of dead deer are received by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
“It’s hard to have an exact estimate at this time as we are getting reports every day and multiple reports every day,” DNR Deer Herd Specialist Erin Larson said Aug. 19.
