In many states, American sportsmen can pursue abundant game with little or no competition by targeting species largely ignored by others. Many hunters probably can’t even identify these game birds or know they can hunt them.
Not all states allow rail and gallinule hunting or maybe just certain species, so always check the regulations. However, even in states with seasons, few sportsmen pursue these legit gamebirds.
