Illinois waterfowl hunters will see one of the most significant statewide changes this fall, but a handful of new rules are also in store for deer hunters.
Meanwhile, additional public hunting acreage is being added at two state natural areas.
The changes are outlined in DNR’s 2026-27 Illinois Digest of Hunting and Trapping Regulations, which is available online and at license vendors across the state. Here are some of the highlights.
