With deer season now on the horizon, a hunting buddy skeptically asked over a grill at a cookout, “How can the moon affect the rut?
Deer hunter talk. Sure… he was baiting, knowing full well that I’ve been a proponent of the theory that the moon indeed has not only an effect on the timing of the whitetail rut, especially here in the temperate latitudes, but can be used as an indicator, a prediction model.
