Commentary: Our trees tell us alot about the natural world around us

Trees are complex mechanisms worthy of study by hunters and the general outdoorsman, according to Kirker. One big aspect of trees is that they provide cover and their fruit offers sustenance for all types of wild critters, including squirrels. (Photo by Bob “Greenie” Grewell)

My wife, Ann, communicates with the trees. I have heard her on nature walks many times, interacting with them in words. I admittedly have not heard them talk back, but they probably are in their own way. She really loves trees, as do I. I probably should try talking to them as well.
