As the Wisconsin spring hearings approached, in the spring of 1978, there were noticeable articles in newspapers. There were more outdoor writers then.
Each spring, about that time, they each wrote an inspiring piece about the Conservation Congress. The articles warned that if larger groups didn’t show up for the hearings, very soon there would be no hearings: “If you want to be heard, you must show up to vote.”
