Keith McCaffery, former state deer biologist, headed into Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame

Keith McCaffery, who worked 37 years for the Wisconsin DNR and then volunteered off the books in the same office for another 20 years, will be inducted into the Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame.

Keith McCaffery took his dad’s advice seriously.
When they were out fishing, his dad told the lad to look at what he enjoys doing in his spare time, and then try to find work doing that same thing.
“I did just that,” said McCaffery, now 86.
