I rolled out of bed hours before sunrise, brewed a cup of coffee, and started pulling on layers of hunting clothes. The plan was simple: meet my dad and my brother at their house around 5 a.m., pile into the truck, and head to our hunting spot.
The morning was clear and frosty. When I arrived, they weren’t ready, so I paced impatiently waiting for them to finish up.
