I’d really like to do some ice fishing this winter, but I’m not so sure that will be a real possibility.
As of this writing on Jan. 13, there was no ice anywhere in the state aside from the extreme northeast corner of Ohio. At least no ice that is safe enough to fish on. I had gotten my hopes up, probably like many of you, when in mid-December places like Buckeye Lake and Indian Lake firmed up enough to allow for some early season ice fishing.
