Steve Carney: Big change, as shallow fish bite in Minnesota waters heads to depths

Wow, how things have changed with fishing in Minnesota! A shallow bite that’s been on fire since early May has finally ended. A recent two days on the water convinced me to head to deep water and find a new pattern.
At this time of September, game fish are transitioning to new haunts as food sources change and water temperatures creep downward.
