Opposition from sportsmen to the Ohio Senate’s version of the 2026-2027 state budget paid off.
Bonus money from oil and gas leases in state wildlife areas will continue to go for improvements, land acquisition, and shooting range updates, following action by the general assembly’s conference committee and Gov. Mike DeWine. DeWine signed the final version of the budget into law on June 30.
