Dan Ladd: New York’s summer sport shows face challenges

Behind the scenes at this and any newspaper is what we call an editorial calendar. It serves a number of purposes, one obviously being related to content that appears in this publication that is assigned months, sometimes nearly a year in advance.
The calendar also contains a list of the sport shows New York Outdoor News will likely be attending. After what seemed in this writer’s eyes to be a solid, or at least improved, winter sport show season, things are a little more dismal this summer.
