Christine Thomas: Major steps up, captures barn hunt title

This is issue No. 14 of the 2025 edition of Wisconsin Outdoor News. In issue No. 3, I introduced my readers to the dog sport of Barn Hunt when Major, and many Airedale friends, did barn hunt training at the Oh Rats Dog Training Center in Sheboygan.
Barn Hunt is a sport where the objective is to find rats that are hidden safely in PVC pipe tubes, and buried in straw. The dog must find the rat or rats, navigate tunnels in the straw, and climb on bales. The time is limited.
