Pro Fishing Tip of the Week: Don’t let FFS get in the way of fishing

Britney Magdal says some anglers are missing out on opportunities to find active fish by relying too much on forward-facing sonar.

Forward-facing sonar has changed fishing forever. It helps you stay on fish and shows what is happening in real time, but I have seen many anglers rely on it too much. I’ve watched people spend hours casting at “negative” fish just because they are there, waiting for them to turn on.
