Minnesota Becoming an Outdoors Woman committee member hits ‘Great Lakes slam’

Growing up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Jennifer Dums’ first taste of fishing the Great Lakes started young with Lake Superior practically in her backyard.
“I’ve been fishing since I was a little kid. My dad used to take me fishing, and I grew up in the U.P. of Michigan basically on Lake Superior … so I’ve always been around the Great Lakes in that respect,” Dums said.
In that region, being outdoors hunting and fishing is intrinsically tied to the way of life she has began imparting on others through her work.
