New York’s annual youth turkey hunting weekend is coming up April 26-27, providing the opportunity for junior hunters – those ages 12-15 – to go afield with an experienced adult mentor.
In recent weeks across New York numerous programs have taken place – many involving New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Police Officers – to help prepare young hunters for the special hunt and often partner them with mentors.
