Wisconsin’s Tom Tiffany authors wolf delisting bill under a new name

Federal legislators are making another run at delisting timber wolves, this time changing the bill name to – they hope – better describe what’s happening back at home.
The Pet and Livestock Protection Act was introduced Jan. 31 by House of Representative members Tom Tiffany (R-Wis.) and Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.). The pair introduced the same bill last session under the Trust the Science Act. This time around, Tiffany said most everyone understands the science, and understands that wolves have surpassed recovery thresholds, so there is no biological basis for wolves to remain on the Endangered Species List (ESL).
