Final HAB score shows moderately severe algal bloom for western Lake Erie in 2024

On June 27, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Dr. Richard Stumpf announced the agency’s annual forecast at Ohio State University’s F.T. Stone Laboratory at Put-in-Bay for the expected harmful algal bloom (HAB) severity index score for western Lake Erie this summer.
