Going solo or with a buddy after bears in New York? Here are keys to success

Taking a black bear is considered quite a feat in New York, since the average rate of success usually runs below 2%.
The methods of how to hunt them vary, but the most consistent method of taking a bear is to be a part of an organized group that conducts drives through their known habitat. This method of hunting is not for everyone, though. It can be physically and mentally demanding.
