Steve Carney: With the Ned rig, like all baits, there’s some good, some bad

When you hang around a group of bass anglers, the talk frequently turns to the Ned rig. I often have clients who ask to fish the rig, but I must tell them that I have not exactly fallen in love with this style of bait. I’ve had good days and bad days with it.
At first glance, the Ned rig looks almost comical and, honestly, too simple. But there is a time and place for this bait.
