So here it was, opening weekend of Wisconsin’s 2024 fishing season and even though plenty of work had been accomplished leading up to Saturday, May 4, the chore list still looked fairly foreboding.
Typically, I’m not one to feel too guilty about leaving some work unfinished if there is some fishing or hunting to be done, but with turkey tags being held in abeyance for fourth and fifth seasons, not to mention this issue to get to the printing press – and my better half looking over my shoulder at the chore list – the prudent move became very apparent.
