Lake Erie fish cleaning stations in Ohio nearly complete

The exceptional quality, popularity, and harvest-orientation of Lake Erie fishing has increased the need to provide convenient facilities for anglers visiting the region to clean their fish prior to departing from a fishing access area, according to the Ohio Division of Wildlife. (Stock photo)

The Ohio DNR Division of Wildlife is in the process of building the three new facilities on the lake right now and the agency says they’ll be available for angler use by mid-April to early May, depending on weather conditions, and they should be available for use through mid- to late October. These facilities contain plumbing, and thus cannot be used during the colder winter months, according to the DOW.
