Non-resident waterfowlers have new rules to be aware of in Manitoba

Long-rumored regulation changes have come to fruition in Manitoba, where it’s estimated some 3,500 “foreign residents” (nonresidents) from mostly the United States – a healthy share of them from Minnesota – pursue ducks and geese each year. (Photo by Bill Kay)

A small but dedicated group of Minnesotans hunts ducks and geese in Manitoba each fall, and beginning this year, they’ll see a host of changes that could alter the landscape of waterfowling in that province.
