Rising success rates for Michigan bear hunters could mean fewer licenses in some units

The Michigan DNR is looking to raise or keep harvest of bears the same in units across the state, but rising hunter success rates mean there could be fewer licenses available next season. (Stock photo)

The Michigan DNR is proposing a slight increase in the desired state bear harvest for the next two years, though with fewer licenses in many  bear management units.
