While the weather is still on the warm side and the foliage is still thick, nearly all the bucks that hunters will be chasing this fall have shed their velvet and are easily identifiable as targets for the 2026 fall hunting season. Even though the temperatures are still in the 80s in Illinois and Iowa, it is time to get those cameras in the woods and plan your strategies for the next four months.
