For states like Minnesota that hold September dove seasons, the opener offers a new round of days afield for sportsmen.
To successfully hunt doves, you first must find them. Scout early and often. A field might hold many doves one day and none the next. To survive, doves require food, cover for safety, water and grit. About 99% of a dove’s diet consists of small seeds.
