There are two divergent trends that have taken over the whitetail industry in the past decade. The first is the public land craze, where tree saddles, lightweight climbing sticks, and the willingness to be truly mobile on land open to anyone is the strategy. The other trend looks quite the opposite.
It involves creating a nice little private land, whitetail paradise with food plots and maybe a water source, and then leaving everything alone most of the time so that the local ungulates grow lazy and comfortable.
