When was the last time you went fly fishing for bluegills? Now is the time to go. Not for the smaller ones that bore anglers, I am talking those measuring 8 inches or better.
Like any larger game fish, when you single a bluegill out for size, the catching seems a whole lot more difficult. The challenge begins with finding them; you will not stumble on a school, not in the average lake. Management lakes, such as those found at Ohio’s La Su An State Wildlife Area, are the exception.
