Ciara Stump has cultivated a fascination for waterfowl since she was a youngster dipping her toes in the ponds of southeastern Minnesota near Rochester.
In addition to hunting the birds, the fascination for ducks and geese prompted the graduate of Plainview-Elgin-Millville High School to enter various duck and goose calling contests when she was in her mid-teens. Multi-year stints as an instructor at Woody Camp further enhanced her curiosity of the birds and sparked an interest in a potential career in the outdoors and possibly studying waterfowl.
