A new study released by a fellow Great Lakes state is adding fresh data to a long-running debate over the economic value of publicly-owned hunting lands. And its findings could have implications for similar discussions in Michigan.
The study, funded by the Pennsylvania Game Commission, concluded that state game lands “provide significant economic benefits while having little measurable impact on local property tax revenues or private economic development.”
