Wisconsin’s Eland trout fishing day brings smiles to kids’ faces

Jacob Pliska didn’t mind getting up early the morning of June 20 because the day had something to do with fishing, which was right up the Rosholt 13-year-old’s alley.
Pliska was one of hundreds of people – from young kids to senior citizens – to show up for the 36th annual Eland fishing day and take a crack at stocked rainbow trout, many of them more than a foot long.
