Along the 33 most navigable miles of the Conestoga River, from Brownstown to the Susquehanna River, people who want to get their kayaks or canoes into the water make do.
They access the river via muddy “beaches,” gravel-covered trails and simple cuts into steep banks. But there is not one developed, universally accessible launch for non-motorized boats.
