A short-handed Wisconsin Natural Resources Board (NRB) adopted a 2026 deer season framework very similar to 2025 based on recommendations from County Deer Advisory Councils (CDAC) and the Department of Natural Resources.
During its June 24 meeting, five board members spent almost two hours discussing the season and whether or not to go along with recommendations of the Buffalo County CDAC that nixed the holiday hunt and late January archery season.
