Remembering Wisconsin DNR biologists Ed Frank and Doris Rusch

Ed Frank brought up the idea, and wrote the plan, to reintroduce wild turkeys to Wisconsin.

A large part of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource’s knowledge base is stored in the memories of its retired employees, and part of that memory base was lost recently with the passing of Ed Frank and Doris Rusch.
The celebration of life for the two retired wildlife biologists will take place separately, but on the same day, Sunday, July 12.
