The Environmental Law Policy Center is a Chicago-based environmental watchdog that advocates for the protection and restoration of the Great Lakes.
It has recently taken on polluters of all sorts, from concentrated animal feeding operations, whose untreated manure spurs toxic algae blooms, to industrial pollution from steel mills, oil transmission pipelines, and contaminated sediment disposal. On May 19, the Center hosted a speaker who updated an online audience about some likely short and long-term directions that Great Lakes water levels may be taking.
