Nate Harms grew up in Clark County, a hotbed of hunting activity in west-central Wisconsin.
Harms, who recently retired after teaching fifth grade at Waupaca Middle School for several years, never hunted while attending Owen-Withee High School. That all changed April 3-4 after he took part in Waupaca’s learn-to-hunt program that pairs first-time turkey hunters with a mentor to provide a positive and educational hunting experience.
