“I’ve always liked to draw, even as a little kid, and I was raised in the outdoors. So, put those together, and I guess I was made to become a wildlife artist,” David Maass told this writer for a 2006 interview and Outdoor News article.
We spent several hours chatting about subjects like duck hunting, conservation, and his life and his artwork, at his log cabin studio on the north shore of Minnesota’s Lake Minnetonka.
