It’s a well-observed fact that there are fewer and fewer ruffed grouse on the Ohio landscape these days. In a recent interview with Ohio Outdoor News, ODNR Division of Wildlife biologist Mark Wiley explained why.
“Loss of grouse habitat is the problem,” Wiley said.
He stressed that the decline in grouse population is not a result of overhunting.
