Minnesota elementary teacher and his students strengthen wood duck habitat

Fifth-grade teacher Cory Roeker and his students have made it a mission to help waterfowl in south-central Minnesota by building and placing more than 1,000 duck houses. (Photos by Cory Roeker)

After the first few years, life caught up to Roeker and couldn’t commit the time to it as he was beginning his family and coaching. Five years ago, he brought back the duck house project for his students.
