Not everything struggles in the snow and cold.
After the rifle deer season ends in Pennsylvania, my shift turns to rabbit hunting with my beagles. For a few weeks, however, deep snow and frigid temperatures put a temporary halt on running the dogs, so my outdoor activity was relegated to walking across the white expanse with snowshoes instead. But while we waited – me and the dogs – for conditions to improve, I wondered how the rabbits would fare in the harsh winter conditions.
