At Pheasant Fest last Saturday at the Minneapolis Convention Center, I monitored a seminar: “America’s Public Lands: Action, Advocacy and the Path Ahead.”
The session spent a solid chunk of time commending the nation’s sportsmen and sportswomen for halting congressional language last year that would have liquidated 3 million acres of federal public lands. Though I bore quickly with congratulatory conversations, there’s something to be said for pausing and celebrating conservation wins.
