State upgrading boat ramp on Ohio’s Deer Creek Lake

Heavy equipment has been moved into place on Deer Creek Lake in Central Ohio as the state works to rebuild one of the lake’s boat ramps. (Photo by Larry Moore)

Improvements are being made to the west boat ramp at Deer Creek Lake in Central Ohio. This is the ramp closest to Pancoastburg. This ramp can be especially busy for people boating or fishing at Deer Creek who live in Fayette County or other areas west of the lake.
The old ramp concrete was very deteriorated with potholes. The concrete that extended into the lake did not provide adequate docking or bumper protection for boats.
