Although it’s not even close to being one of the state’s biggest counties, Washington County in eastern New York stretches 60 miles, top to bottom, and is 20 miles wide. And even though the northern part of the county lies in the Adirondack park where there’s a considerable amount of public land, that’s not the case with Washington County’s southern agricultural portion.
